At least we know now right?

Early in the year I started having alot of pain in 2 of the toes on my left foot. After brushing it off for nearly 5 months I brought it to the attention of my Doctor who had it x-rayed. It turns out that I have a cyst growing on the bone of one of toes that was enough of a concern that the Doctor referred me to the Orthopedic surgeon to take a look. Today I finally got in to see him. A very quiet and professional man that told me it wasn't a cancerous tumor but was cause for concern because of its location. It's resting very close to the joint and growing closer to being on top of the actual joint. He said that it can lead to fractures as well. So after sitting down with him and looking at my options I will now be getting surgery at the end of the month. They will go in and remove the cyst, taking part of the bone, and then take bone from my knee and put it in the hole that would be left from the removal of the cyst. It's kind of scary yet re-leaving and somehow kind of strange and funny to think that part of my knee will be in my foot.
